With a low budget, a former bungalow attached to a period farmhouse, has been transformed by altering its skin to an agricultural vernacular. The black feather boarding and landscaping naturally blend the building into its rightful environment. The design concept has been an exercise in reduction. All internal walls have been removed creating a simple tardis-like volume. Further enhanced by a simplistic single glass gable dominating the space – inspired by a child’s naive drawing of a home.
